Harvey Rudy is currently the Senior Director of Development for Barry Real Estate Companies where he oversees all aspects of the development process including overall tenant coordination, communication and interaction, lease and other project document negotiation, interface with all municipal authorities, site due diligence and acquisition, selection, contracting and direction of all project design, construction and engineering team members, financing arrangements, equity partner communication, as well as overall budget accounting and reporting. Since coming to Barry in 2000, Harvey has taken primary development / acquisition responsibility for properties valued at nearly $450,000,000 representing over 2.2 million square feet of office, retail and hotel / condo properties. His projects at Barry include 30, 45 and 55 Allen Plaza in Atlanta, Nortel Networks / Cingular Wireless in Alpharetta, as well as One Federal Place in Birmingham. He also oversaw Barry's acquisition of SouthTrust (now Wachovia) Tower in Birmingham.
Harvey's career began during college and has included positions in virtually all phases of the industry including development, leasing, acquisitions, and property management. He has further served the industry as a chapter president and national board member for NAIOP, as well as number of local boards and committees.
Harvey is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. Business Administration with an academic minor in Architecture. He is married to his wife Sharon and is currently in adoption process for their first child.
